Personally, I have lots of resolutions and hopes for this year, but with my school goals, personal goals, and so on and so forth, that list got a bit long, hence I’m limiting it to my bookish pursuits on here. (Which, to be honest, are the ones that I hold as my top priorities.)
Read 57 books
I read 57 books in 2014, so that’s what I’m shooting for this year. I have a few mountains of unread titles in my room and piling up on my Kindle, so it’s definitely not going to be met for lack of material. With a whole bunch of new releases coming out from authors I adore—Erica Stevens, T.L. Shreffler, Jadie Jones, Rhiannon Paille, Tenaya Jayne, and plenty others—I’ll probably be getting a whole bunch of new books, too.
Publish 5 books
I’m planning to rerelease The Key of Amatahns at the end of this month with a shiny new cover and then the next three books in the series and the third Fanged Princess novella later in the year. (I’m really hoping I stay on schedule for a release in February, March, and April, but there’s been some trouble with the logistics for the other Argetallam Saga books, so the dates may be pushed back.) This would also more or less be compensation for publishing absolutely nothing in 2014.
Write 5 books
This sounds ambitious and it sort of is, but it’s really more of four and a third books. My goal is to finish drafting the sixth and seventh books in the Argetallam Saga before the end of the year, the fourth Fanged Princess novella, and the last two titles in the unpublished Daindreth’s Assassin series (that way the whole series will be drafted before the first is published, how cool would that be?).
Do you have any reading/writing goals this year? Are you happy with how you carried out last year’s resolutions?
Even though I have reading and writing goals to accomplish, it always went awry.
